Watts MAXPB-975 filters remove heavy metals, and has been specially designed  for lead reduction. In addition to lead reduction, the unique formation of the carbon block enables it to reduce Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts and fine sediment particles down to 0.5 microns

Watts 10" Coconut Carbon Water Filter Cartridge (Watts MAXPB-975) is a coconut shell carbon block water filter replacement cartridge used primarily in under sink water filter systems, counter top water filter systems to reduce the bad taste and odour of chlorine as well as other impurities such as lead, cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia, etc.) down to the very fine 0.5 micron level. It will also reduce many common particulates and impurities such as fine sediment, dirt, turbidity, limescale, rust, sand, silt, VOCs, and more.

The Watts MAXPB975 water filter uses advanced thick wall solid block coconut carbon filtration technology to maximize carbon capacity and maintain a low pressure drop (0.34 PSI) for more efficient and thorough water filtration.
