55W (45LPM) Ultra Violet (UV) Water Treatment System With Advanced Countdown Timer
Direct Water Filters
UV UltraRays Series Systems provide a sleek, compact design and economical UV Water Filter treatment for low flow
and medium flow applications. Ultraviolet light destroys 99.99% of harmful
organisms without adding chemicals or changing your water’s taste or odour;
resulting in a highly efficient filtration system to kill micro-organisms in
your water supply.
This filter can be used for both residential and commercial applications such as vending machines, food industries, and laboratories. It can also be used alongside reverse osmosis systems, allowing for superb water filtration. However, if you intend to install this product to a domestic or public water supply we strongly advise you install pre-treatment to a minimum rating of 5 microns.

55W (45LPM) Ultra Violet (UV) Water Treatment
Systems
Did you know that a
vast selection of different chemicals is added to tap water? Chemicals such as
liquefied chlorine, fluorosilicic acid, aluminium sulphate, calcium hydroxide,
and sodium silicofluoride are routinely added to our water supply. Whilst it is
important to treat tap water to ensure its drinkability, key scientists are now
providing evidence that long-term ingestion of chemicals used to treat tap
water could be causing some major health concerns.
UV UltrRays Series use a
stainless steel water chamber maximising full use of the available ultra violet
energy. This results in long exposure times and high UV doses whilst minimising
UV light absorption into the chamber wall. Additionally, the filter is equipped
to inactivate chlorine-resistant parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Guardia,
harmful bacteria like E.Coli, and viruses which are not visible to the naked
eye. Finally, it is specially designed and tested with a regular output lamp
that provides consistent and reliable ultra violet output over entire life of
the lamp (9000 hours) to ensure continuous purification of your water.
This filter consists
of an inner quartz sleeve with highly polished quartz structure to provide
optimum wavelength penetration. It is built with a durable heavy duty 304
internal polished stainless steel chamber to prolong life and eliminate ultra
violet degradation whilst allowing full refraction surface for the UV light
providing constant contact levels of sterilisation. Additionally, it also has a
CE ballast power supply, which has an audible alarm and visual indicator in the
unlikely event of lamp failure, and it is equipped with a slip connector that
allows for easy removal of lamp without special tools. These features mean that
the system is easy to maintain and service with easy lamp replacement.
Please note that UV sterilisers do not improve the taste of the feed water. They should be incorporated into a system comprising the appropriate water filters to remove particles and to treat the water to make it palatable. Our trained staff can advise on the appropriate system to meet any combination of feed water flow and quality.
Ultraviolet Light Is Dangerous To Humans, Is
UV Treated Water Safe To Drink?
Ultraviolet light is
electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light. UV light
has a wavelength of up to 400 nanometers. Exposure to this radiation can be
very dangerous to people, especially skin. The damage from UV radiation cumulative
and increases over time; whilst your body can repair some of the DNA damage in
skin cells, it can't repair all of it. However, whilst Ultraviolet light can be
dangerous to humans, when used in a water filter it’s actually one of the
safest, cleanest, and most easy-to-maintain methods of assuring that your water
is bacteria free. This is because the average bacterium will be killed in a few
seconds when exposed to UV radiation from a short distance away.
